1. Wet ‘n Wild Mega Length Mascara Okay. This is a weird favorite. And not one I ever saw myself including. I have small eyes with oily lids and stubby lashes. Everything smudges and/or flakes on me. Waterproof or not. And confession: I hate waterproof mascara. This one came in a gift set that I got at Christmas (I wanted the discontinued shadow pallet in it, I didn’t care about the other stuff in the set). Just out of curiosity, I pulled out this mascara and figured I’d give it a go. As a daily mascara, it does okay. It’s not going to pump your lashes into falsies, it’s just not. But you guys? This stuff doesn’t smudge on me at all. I can apply it first thing in the morning, and I have zero cleanup throughout the day. That never happens! So yeah this $3 mascara is my new favorite. (It’s packaged in a purple tube now, but I’ve already bought a back up)!
2. Cover Girl Ready Set Gorgeous Fresh Complexion Foundation Foundation is another thing that I’ve just come to terms with not looking perfect on my oily skin. But this exceeded my expectations. I can’t even believe the finish it leaves on my skin. It doesn’t look like I’m wearing anything yet it covers my scaring and blemishes so well. It’s not heavy at all, and I don’t feel like there’s anything on my skin (and I’m picky about this). The staying power on this is amazing, too. It’s been boiling hot here lately, and this stuff even survived tailgating and sweating my brains out through a game!
3. Wet ‘n Wild Pearlescent Pink Blush This is an old favorite. I actually smashed my old one months ago and was too lazy to do the alcohol trick to fix it. After a while, I got tired of leaving powder in my wake, so I just stopped using it. I picked up a replacement a few weeks ago and have fallen back in love. Wet ‘n Wild blushes are notoriously pigmented so a little goes a long way, but this is a perfect dupe for everyone’s beloved Nars Orgasm. And it’s $2.99. Beat that.
4. Neutrogena On The Spot Acne Treatment I’ve mentioned before that I suffer from cystic acne (on top of regular acne. Yeah, it’s a fun life I lead). While there isn’t much (topically) that can be done to shrink those suckers, this stuff does help. I’m not kidding when I say I had a tumor on the side of my face last week. It was awful and so painful. On top of upping my normal 3 mg chelated zinc intake to 6mg, I applied this stuff as often as I could daily. In just a few days, the tumor cyst (which usually takes weeks to pass) was practically gone.
5. China Glaze Float On I’ll admit, I rarely paint my nails the same color within a month. Sometimes even within the year (I know, I know). I just get really excited to try different shades. When this manicure chipped, I reapplied it. I think that makes it my favorite polish of the month because I can’t tell you the last time I did that.
6. Baby Lips Dr. Rescue in Soothing Sorbet This is a perfect hint of color that pulls any look together while still moisturizing your lips! This is something quick an easy to slap on sans mirror, too. I know this is something I’m going to continue reaching for as we (please God) transition into the fall months!

I'm a die-hard for regular or Carmex and have been since 2004. Yesterday, I forgot mine at home and the whole day was terrible…trying to lipgloss my dry lips to no avail. While it does a lot for healing I think, I also believe I need to find something else. Once you use a product for too long, doesn't it stop working properly? I usually buy 3-4 tubes at once and put them in random places where I might need chapstick. I've never tried Baby Lips.
I usually go for mascara that costs about $6. The fancy stuff never works for me. I like the old-fashioned Covergirl in the red tube.
I swear by that on-the-spot acne treatment! And you can't beat the price! I keep hearing such good things about wet n wild and definitely need to try out a few things– that blush looks gorgeous!
also, just to warn you, you're about to get comment overload from me!
I can agree with you on so many of these!
On the Spot is my favorite zit treatment!
Wet N Wild blushes are strangely and surprisingly pigmented and beautiful.
I need to try that Covergirl foundation. I've heard a lot about it. I think it's time…
🙂
That nail polish!!
Love that nail polish color and it's a really good brand too – doesn't chip as easily as others!! I still haven't tried baby lips – but always want to lol!
is the quality of china glaze good? i was extremely saddened when i discovered that my fav brand is actually shit quality and had to abandon it. i see a ton of china glaze on sale at winners but i don't want to spend the $ if the quality isn't great.

Vodka and Soda
I need a new mascara and everything smudges on me too! I'll definitely check this one out! Love that polish color too!
Ok, I've been eyeing the Covergirl foundation for a lighter option, but I wasn't sure. Definitely trying it out now! I love that Wet n Wild blush too 😉
Glitter cannon?!?! YES!!!!!!!!!!!
I love that China Glaze color and I haven't tried that Baby Lips rescue yet just the regular one. Now I need that one! The struggle is real!
I love BabyLips! I might have to try out this On the Spot Treatment because I have yet to find anything that works for problem areas.
I love drugstore reviews! That China Glaze is so pretty I think I may need to scoop that up!
Glad to know about that mascara and Baby Lips stuff! I'll have to try those. I don't like waterproof mascara either because I swear I scrub my face off trying to take off my makeup! :-p
I love that your blog comes with a glitter cannon now, it's so perfect for you! I've never really gotten into neutrogena products, though I've been curious since the days of Mandy Moore as their spokesgirl. Also, that nail polish is gorgeous!
I take 50 mg of zinc. Can you up your dosage?? It's helped me a TON!
I will have to try that foundation! I STILL haven't found one that I adore and am getting frustrated. Most foundations aggravate my skin and break me out. I'll give this one a whirl!
